Last week, I traveled to China for my brother’s wedding and during transit, I stayed in Shanghai Marriott Hotel City Center for a couple of nights. As there are many 5-star luxurious stay options in Shanghai it was confusing for me to finalize hotel, but after lots of research, I finalized this hotel. Review of Shanghai Marriott Hotel City Center – Perfect Stay Option in Shanghai
This hotel is a beautiful combination of luxury, leisure, and business. Perfectly located in the heart of downtown Shanghai and at a walkable distance from Nanjing Road & Bund(main tourist/shopping streets of Shanghai). This hotel is 37 floored building with stunning views of Shanghai skyline from upper-level rooms and bar.

Location
Few steps from Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum & International Mall. All major tourist attractions are at walkable distance from this hotel.
Rooms
There is a total of 720 rooms with all modern amenities and comfortable bedding. Always opt for a city view room on a higher floor. We chose Executive Room with Business Lounge Access having a skyline view on the 25th Floor.
Size of the room is big enough with lots of sitting area. Interiors are modern, chic and modernly designed. Mini fridge, Iron with Ironing board and tea making facility are included in the room. Also, all rooms keep 1 umbrella, as Shanghai weather is unpredictable. I needed more than one umbrella so asked them on request.
Bathrooms
Bathrooms are modern with all amenities like a tub, closet, bath gowns, slippers, hair dryer, shaving kits, dental kits, manicure kits, and herbal soaps. Also, the main feature of bathrooms is they are transparent and can be overlooked from rooms but curtains are provided to cover the glasses.
Dining
Food is the plus point of this hotel. This hotel has an excellent and sumptuous breakfast buffet(included in my room stay). There are many varieties of cuisine from different parts of the world. Even vegetarians also enjoy lots of variety. This hotel has 3 restaurants Java +(Modern bar and High tea), Man Ho(Chinese restaurant) and Shanghai City Bistro & Lounge.

- Pamper yourself at luxurious iSpa which houses 6 treatment rooms. There are many relaxing & refreshing treatments with lots of exciting deals. (Have to purchase extra but discounts for room guests)

Fitness Center Reception and Common Areas
The Reception is grand and 24 hours open. Express Check in-Check Out facility is also there. 24 Hours service of Bell Boys is there to pick luggage and drop to the room. Interiors are grand with marble finish walls, huge Chandeliers, and big corridors. 4 Supersonic lifts are there as this hotel has 37 floors. This hotel has 32,819 sq. ft. of total meeting place which is suitable for business meets. High Security outside. The hotel arranges a reliable and cost-effective taxis. Free Wi-Fi all over the property.

I strongly recommend this hotel to everyone for a comfortable, luxurious and relaxing stay in Shanghai.
The currency of China – YUAN
This hotel has a Currency converter machine which accepts cash and credit card. This cash converter offers good conversion rate with less rate of commission.
Tip – Facebook, Whatsapp, and Google don’t work in China. So do all social networking before going to China. Instead of Google maps local China Map apps work. Download it before going or else instructions would be in Chinese if you download from China.
